The dishes that are in the menu are created from the talented team of “Terrassa”. Intensity and courage that fascinate you. You can choose between exceptional recipes that are inspired by the island’s flavors. In every recipe are used local, seasonal, biological, fresh fruits and vegetables. The herbs come from our gardens. The traditional recipes are being served with a minimalistic perfection, with the right use of the local raw materials and always focused on the small producers of Crete. These are the main three ingredients of the menu.

Our philosophy is to make you wander when you enjoy this greek breakfast.
From 9.00 to 11.30 in the salon of our restaurant, you will be able to try oustanding homemade flavors that come from old traditional recipes, mainly based on the quality of raw materials, fresh, pure and local products.
The Woodstove
The woodstove was always used in Crete so you could enjoy the finest food. We prepare the stove by lighting up the fire with the woods from our olive trees, which we take care and prune in summer. It is like a ritual for us. We pay attention to the temperature of the fire and we prepare every meal with so much care and love. Some of the dishes you can taste from our woodstove are:
Pork shank,
slowly cooked for 4 hours, marinated with seasonal herbs, onion and honey..
Porn neck,
with a mild crust of cretan’s land spices and greens. It is slowly cooked for 4 hours.
Lamb “ofto”.
It’s an old traditional way of cooking lamb in cretan feasts, slowly cooked for five to six hours.
Lamb “kleftiko”.
The recipe of a wrapped and mystical meat. It is cooked in low temperature with seasonal vegetables, cheese, wine and spices.
Beef “stifado”.
Tender and juicy. The secret hides in the onions and in its dark red sauce. It really melts in the mouth.
The “Holy Goat”.
It is a rare seasonal meat from cretan mountains. We can have it only for two months in the summer. Its cooking starts in the woodstove at night, where it stays until the next day in temperature not higher than 100 centigrade.
